Folk dances and music are important for emigrants to maintain links with their homelands and for their identities. Bhangra is a vigorous folk dance for men in Punjab. These images were clicked in Bologna during the South Asia evening at the Human Rights Night film festival in 2008. The group is called Hansda Nachda Punjab and is made of a group of young men from Punjab, who live in Reggio Emilia.
