Guyana South America Image Archives of Kalpana
All these images are from a visit to Guyana in 2006. It was my fourth visit to Guyana. I started my visit from the national capital Georgetown, to the western
coast towards Essequibo and then towards the east upto New Ansterdam and border with Surinam. I also visited some Amerindian areas
in Rupununi starting with Lethem at the border with Brazil and then going upto Sandcreek. These pictures are from all these places. This
visit was in connection with Guyana CBR programme and their are no tourist places in these images, rather they show daily lives of ordinary persons.
I love Guyana and its people. Many of the persons in these pictures are my friends. Through these pictures, I would like to hug them all and hope that
this country of different colours, races and religions will find harmony and peace.
