This next group of pictures is from a visit in Nampula province in north of Mozambique in 2007. Ilha do Mozambique, a small island off the coast of Mozambique is a wonderful place with ruins of houses, wonderful pastel colours and an old Portuguese fort that was used for carrying away the African prisoners for the slave trade. I stayed in Ilha only for one night and most of the pictures were taken in the early morning, when I had gone out around 5 AM. These pictures from Ilha are among my favourite pictures and I just need to look at them to remember that wonderful morning.
